1. Use your knife only for its intended purpose.
2. Do not use your knife as a chopper/cleaver or hit the blade against concrete or bone. This may cause the knife blade to dull and chip.
3. A Butcher Steel is suitable to touching up blades quickly that are not very dull. For dull blades use the Tungsten Carbide Sharpener.
4. Do not sharpen your knife on a bench grinder. It is too aggresive and the blade will lose its temper (become soft!).
5. And most important...lending your knife could be detrimental to both your knife and friendship.
